Turkish Kitchenware Cluster project has been developed by IDDMIB – Istanbul Ferrous & Non Ferrous Metals Exporters’ Association in cooperation with IKMIB-Istanbul Chemicals & Chemicals & Chemical Products’ Associaition and ZUCDER – Turkish Housewares Association.
The project is also supported by Turkish Ministry of Economy and aims to increase the competitiveness of Turkish Kitchenware exporters in the World market. In this concept, 31 kitchenware manufacturers has been selected and developed a strategy to enter new export markets. The first mission of the cluster was towards Latin American countries; Brasil, Uruguay and Chile. 19 companies attended the first programme and out of 19, 8 of them started to export their products to these markets. The second attempt will be to Japanese and South Korean markets. It may seem tough to penetrate into these markets but since Turkish Kitchenware companies proved their competitiveness in Europe and neighbouring countries, they feel very confident to have success in Asia. B2B meetings in Tokyo will take place at xxx Hotel on June 15 and then the group will move to South Korea for the second round of meetings in Seul at xxx Hotel.
